Welcome to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade The whole of the US celebrates Thanksgiving (the fourth Thursday in November) with family gatherings, turkey feasts and American football. In New York City, you can add the fantastic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - the only event where you'll catch the Pink Panther, Spiderman and Woody Woodpecker hanging out together.
The colorful parade is one of the city's best. It features clowns, floats, marching bands and plenty of celebrities who gather for the event. But the real stars of the show are the famous "falloons" (a balloon/float hybrid). Gigantic helium balloons, representing every cartoon hero you can think of, reach high into the sky as they tower over the crowds and make their way downtown.…...more!
